The Women’s Club of Madison Welcomes New Members
Press Release from The Women’s Club of Madison
The Women’s Club of Madison is kicking off its 2024-‘25 season with a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month with the exception of July and August.
The club invites people in the community to attend a meeting and meet its members, learn about the organization and about the many ways it supports the community, and find out about membership.
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) was founded in 1890 and has nearly 100,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries. GFWC members work in their own community organizations to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding.
The Women’s Club of Madison also offers a unique opportunity for camaraderie and friendship among members through such activities as the Walking Club, Book Club, Knitting Club, movie nights, and various other social events throughout the season.
