Paranormal Cirque III Comes to Clinton Aug. 8

The circus is coming to town. From Aug. 8 to 11, the Paranormal Cirque III will perform six shows under a big top tent in the Clinton Outlets parking lot.

Boasting a lineup that is anything but normal with “horrifying yet seductive” acts, a press release for the show states the circus will include illusionists, acrobatics, contortionists, mythical horror characters, and more.

Due to adult language and suggestive themes, the show is intended for mature audiences. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18.

The shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, and Friday, Aug. 9. There will be two shows on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and two shows on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for the show can be obtained by visiting www.paranormalcirque.com or calling 941-704 8572. As a promotion, interested parties can receive $5.00 off any full-priced ticket purchased in levels one, two, or three. The promotion cannot be combined with other deals. The show is the brainchild of Manuel Rebecchi, an entertainer who has produced five other shows produced by parent company Cirque Italia, which have been touring since 2012. The press release states the show is “A new spectacle combining breathtaking visuals, first-class circus artists from all over the world, and the latest technology. Whether you’re a horror aficionado or just looking for a thrilling night out, Paranormal Cirque III is an experience not to be missed.”

Roxana Midi, a spokesperson and performer in the show, said Paranormal Cirque first opened in April of 2023.

“The show is about two hours long with an intermission. There is also a pre-show that is very fun,” Midi said.

Though the show is billed as a horror-themed show, Midi said people shouldn’t be too worried that they’ll just be scared.

“It’s a must-see show with a Halloween vibe in August, but it’s not just horror; people will feel all types of emotions, and there’s funny parts, too,” Midi said.

Midi reiterated that the show is “rated R” and is intended for mature audiences.

“People 13 and up are allowed at adult discretion with an adult, but the show is really something good for a date night or a girls’ night,” Midi explained.

When asked what her favorite part of the show is, Midi replied, “I honestly don’t think there’s just one; everything is connected in the play. You have to see every act; you can’t just pick one,” Midi said.

According to Midi, this is the first time this particular show will be in Clinton, and she and the cast are excited to bring the performance to a new audience.

“We hope people come see the show and forget about their problems for a little and get to see a high-quality show,” Midi said.
