Mayor Joseph A. Carfora is happy to announce that the Town of East Haven’s 23rd annual Fireworks/Beach Party is scheduled for Saturday, June 29. This year's celebration is set to be the most exciting one yet, featuring a day of great food, entertainment, and family fun.
“This is one of the highlights of the year for our community,” Mayor Carfora said. “It’s wonderful to see everyone come together at the beach for a day of fun and to celebrate Independence Day. We have outstanding bands to keep everyone entertained and music right through the grand finale of fireworks.”
An array of food vendors and food trucks will be available throughout the day, offering a variety of delicious options.
The musical lineup will feature The Kathy Thompson Band from 4 to 6:45 p.m. and The Rum Runners from 7 to 9 p.m. Eddie Sab of 99.1 WPLR will host the event and give away prizes at the PLR tent.
The celebration will conclude with an impressive fireworks show set to light the sky at around 9:15 p.m.
While the fireworks display is hosted by the Town of East Haven, the town relies on generous donations from businesses and individuals to make this event possible. Contributions can be sent to East Haven Fireworks, 250 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512.
Access to the beach will be restricted with road closures beginning at 9 a.m. on the day of the event. The East Haven Police Department will be on hand to assist with traffic and ensure a smooth flow around the area.
In case of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled for Monday, July 1, featuring limited entertainment and the fireworks display.
