Press Release from Sally Brockett

The Daytime Gardeners welcomed spring and the new gardening season with engraved markers to identify some of the town gardens which they design and maintain in North Haven. The markers have been placed in five of the town gardens, including the North Haven Memorial Library reading garden, the garden on the west side of the library, the Mill Stone/Oak Tree garden beside the Cultural Center building, the rose garden at Veith Athletic Fields, and the flagpole garden at the entrance to Peter’s Rock Park.

Spring bulbs are showing their colors and will be followed by perennials in blossom and then colorful annuals. You can enjoy the ever-changing show by visiting these locations and taking a look at the shrubs and flowers throughout the seasons.

The Daytime Gardeners welcome new members at any time. If you have an interest in gardening, please contact proto.mary@yahoo.com to obtain more details about club activities and membership.
