The Rotary Club of Branford has announced an application deadline extension of Wendesday, June 12, for three 2024 scholarships of $3,000 each to be awarded to graduating high school students who reside in Branford.
The awards are to high school seniors, whether they attend Branford High School or another secondary school.
To be eligible, students must enroll in a 2- or 4-year college or technical school for the fall of 2024. Their applications should show good evidence of academic achievement and an essay describing service-minded values, covered in the written portion. Finalists are interviewed by a small committee. Financial need is not a requirement, but a statement of need is welcome.
Students can download the application and apply for the Rotary "Service Above Self" Scholarship Program at branfordrotary.org
Applications for scholarships are also available at the school guidance office. Completed applications should be emailed to scholarships@branfordrotary.org or postmarked by June 12, 2024 and mailed to Branford Rotary Club, P.O. Box 593 Branford, CT 06405.
