The Blackstone Library is bringing mini golf back to Branford. On Satruday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, the library will be transformed into an 18-hole mini golf course. Holes will weave throughout the library, covering all three floors. Each of the mini golf holes will be decorated by a local business or individual.
The entire family can come out and play on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, May 19, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person and include golf putter (available in different sizes) and golf ball. Families will enjoy seeing the variety of obstacles and decorations at each hole, and experience the thrill of the 18th hole, which travels down the stairs, going from one floor to another!
On Saturday night, May 18, once the kids have gone home, grown-ups can come and play! At 7 p.m., Mini Golf: After Hours begins, which will feature a whiskey and wine tasting (plus beer and other spirits), in addition to the opportunity to play the course and enjoy snacks and a silent auction. Tickets are $30 per person.
Tickets are on sale now at blackstonelibrary.org or in person at the library. Tickets for the event will be available at the door. No physical tickets will be issued. Registrant/attendee names for pre-orders will be on a list at the door.
Interested in helping support the event? Event sponsorships are still available. The library is also accepting donations to its silent auction and is looking for volunteers to help staff the event. Contact Tina Strell at 203-488-1441 x 313 or tstrell@blackstonelibrary.org for more information.
The funds raised by Mini Golf at Blackstone Library and Mini Golf: After Hours will benefit the Blackstone Library, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity. Since 1896, the library has carried out its mission to provide essential access to information, resources, and unique shared experiences to help ensure Branford is an educated and enriched community. The legacy continues as the Blackstone offers programs and services that engage the community, expand minds, and enrich lives.
