Spring into reading at the Guilford Free Library with The Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale. The annual book sale is taking place on Friday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The book sale offers gently used hardcover and paperback fiction and non-fiction for adults and children, as well as books on art, cooking, gardening, history, nature, photography, poetry, and travel. Also, vintage books, mass market paperbacks, DVDs, CDs, and jigsaw puzzles will be available at the sale.
The sale will take place on the front patio and in the meeting room of the library, rain or shine.
All proceeds from the sale will go to support the library to buy books; sponsor programs for children, teens, and adults; purchase equipment, software, and hardware; and provide funds for staff development.
The first 25 early-bird shoppers on May 11 will receive a special gift compliments of The Fresh Market.
Special events include a performance by the Ukuladies on May 11 at 2 p.m.
The Guilford Free Library is located at 67 Park Street, across from the Guilford Green.
