Literacy Volunteers Awarded Community Impact Award by Middlesex United Way

On Jan. 25, Literacy Volunteers Valley Shore (LVVS) was awarded the Community Impact Award by Middlesex United Way at its annual meeting held at the Elks Lodge in Middletown. United Way has been a community partner and supporter of Literacy Volunteers for many years, and LLVS is honored to be recognized by United Way for its work in the community. Susan Graves, LVVS board member and workshop coordinator, accepted the award from Shawonda S. Swain, president and CEO of Middlesex United Way. The LVVS extends a special thank you to all the volunteers and donors who make the program possible for people in the 11 towns that the organization services in the Valley Shore area.
