NBHS Teacher Named Auschwitz Legacy Fellow

North Branford High School (NBHS) English teacher Jill Feltus has been selected as one of the Auschwitz Legacy Fellows for the state of Connecticut. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Foundation and the Holocaust Education Resource and Outreach Center are coordinating the Auschwitz Legacy Fellowship Program and notified Mrs. Feltus most recently regarding her application for this fellowship program. The application process was very competitive and involved many applicants across the entire state.
Throughout the school year, Feltus will be preparing for this important professional development opportunity by participating in virtual meetings and workshops during the evening hours. A trip to Poland will take place during the summer of 2024 as a part of the experience and professional development. During the onset of the 2024-25 school year, Feltus will be collaborating with colleagues in order to share additional insights regarding this professional development opportunity and her experiences when visiting Poland.
