Clinton Town Council Member Hollinger Passes Away
Sad news out of Clinton: Town Council member Tom Hollinger passed away on Christmas Eve.
Chris Aniskovich made the following post on behalf of the Town Council on the Town’s Facebook page announcing Hollinger’s passing:
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of current Town Council member and former Board of Finance member Tom Hollinger. After complications from a recent medical procedure, Tom passed away on Sunday. At this time, we ask that you keep his wife Sarah, sons John and David, their families, and friends in your prayers. There is never a good time to lose a loved one, so we ask for your show of support for a wonderful family that has always given back to our community.”
Hollinger was elected to the Town Council in 2021 and had two years left on his term. Besides working on the Town Council, Hollinger was a member of the Board of Assessment Appeals, the Board of Finance, and the Charter Revision Commission. Hollinger had also been a member of various youth programs, including youth sports, and a stint as the president of the Clinton Touchdown Club. He worked in the financial field for a consulting company that did risk management.
Hollinger still had two years left in his term on Town Council. Filling Hollinger’s place on the Town Council will initially fall to the Clinton Republican Town Committee, which will nominate a person for the seat. The choice will then need to be confirmed at a future Town Council meeting. The next council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 3.
