Sen. Cicarella Receives Police Officers Association of CT ‘Legislative Leadership Award’
Press Release, CT General Assembly
State Sen. Paul Cicarella (R-North Haven), ranking member of the Public Safety and Security Committee, today received the Police Officers Association of Connecticut (POACT) ‘Legislative Leadership Award’ at POACT’s annual Connecticut Police Officers Summit at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard.
The organization presents this award to Connecticut lawmakers who are dedicated to the representation and professionalism of police officers in the state at the legislature.
“It is an honor to be recognized by POACT, whose members selflessly serve the communities in the 34th District and across the state. I will continue to strongly consider how each proposed bill or vote that I cast in Hartford impacts the lives of our law enforcement professionals. We must support them now more than ever. In fact, one of the main solutions to the public safety problems that we face today in Connecticut is to support our local and state police,” said Sen. Cicarella.
Reporter’s note: State Senate District 34 represents North Haven and a segment of North Branford/Northford.
