Crazy Hats for a Cause
Second grader teacher Laurie Kukta, left, and Principal Ruth Rose look on as student Paisley Bragaw reads a song she wrote during Hats for Hope at Daisy Ingraham Elementary School on Sept 22. The event encouraged staff and students to wear their craziest hats and donate to the Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer. Hats for Hope was held at local schools throughout Connecticut, with Daisy Ingraham participating at the suggestion of Paisley Bragaw, a childhood cancer survivor, along with Paisley’s friend. The Tommy Fund supports local children and their families being treated at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven. For more information, visit tommyfund.org.
