Branford Police Raise Record $44K at Tip-a-Cop
Sept. 18 at Lenny’s Indian Head Inn to Benefit CT Special Olympics
On Sept. 18, Branford Police Department’s annual Tip-A-Cop event to benefit Connecticut Special Olympics raised just over $44,000, a new record.
In a post at the Branford Police Facebook page, BPD thanked its members who volunteered for the event as well as the owners, employees and patrons of Lenny’s Indian Head Inn; together with all the event sponsors, donors and supporters.
BPD also noted its Tip-A-Cop event Lenny’s Indian Head Inn is the state’s longest running Tip-A-Cop event in Connecticut and raised the most among all Tip-A-Cop events in the state, with this year’s amount raised “a record setting milestone.”
The department also stated, “We sincerely appreciate all the planning, effort and generosity that goes into making this fundraiser fun and such a significant happening for our organization and athletes!”
