Pick your experience, buy your tickets, and support a great cause. Community Dining Room’s (CDR) “The Shoreline Experience” raffle is back for a third year, and promises to end with a bang on Friday, Sept. 29 during the second annual live Dueling Pianos performance hosted by CDR at Branford Elks Lodge #1939.

“We are so excited for the third year of the Shoreline Experience Raffle,” said CDR Executive Director Judy Barron. “Our generous donors have helped us create some really fun packages for the community to win. And to top it off with another year of music that feeds the soul with Dueling Pianos–you could not get any more fun than that! We hope to see a tremendous amount of support for these fundraisers this year.”

Tickets for both fundraisers can be purchased now at cdri.betterworld.org.

Shoreline Experience raffle tickets are available for either $5 each or 5 for $20. Dueling Pianos tickets ($50) include a night of entertainment featuring Savage Pianos, a high-energy rock ’n’ roll dueling piano show. During the Sept. 29 piano show, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a special event raffle ticket to win a prize of two Avelo Airlines passes for round-trip travel to any Avelo destination, with no blackout dates, good for one year. Events organizer and CDR Fundraising Coordinator Courtney Rosenberg said the Dueling Pianos night is not to be missed.

“It was so exciting and so fun last year. I hope more people want to experience it this year. It really was fantastic,” said Rosenberg.

Rosenberg is equally excited to be offering the wealth of highly valued prize packages filling The Shoreline Experience raffle. This year, businesses and organizations from CDR’s service area towns of Branford, East Haven, North Branford, and Guilford have once again inundated CDR with a blizzard of prize offerings and gift cards/gift certificates. The baker’s dozen of themed prize packages includes six ranging in value between $599 and $500 and seven ranging in value between $450 and $250.

Prize categories include home entertainment, home improvement, car care, recreation packages and memberships, relaxation packages, personal care, and jam-packed restaurant and business gift card/gift certificate packages. Visit cdri.betterworld.org to view the full listing of 13 prize packages.

Raffle sales began Aug. 1 and will continue through Sept. 29. In addition to online sales, CDR is setting up in-person pop-up raffle ticket sales tables at events among its four service towns. To purchase tickets in-person at CDR in Branford (30 Harrison Avenue), call 203-488-7590 from Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The raffle drawing will be held on Sept. 29, when the dueling pianos program plays out at the Branford Elks Lodge on 158 South Montowese Street from 6 to 9 p.m. Raffle prize winners need not be present and will be notified. The drawing will also be live-streamed on CDR’s Facebook page at approximately 9 p.m.

All proceeds from both events will support services and programs of non-profit CDR. CDR provides food, support and companionship to shoreline neighbors in East Haven, Branford, North Branford, and Guilford, and promotes public awareness of the impact of hunger and isolation in society. CDR also assists guests with practical needs through referrals and fellowship.
