Registration is now open for Branford Land Trust’s (BLT) popular hands-on Environmental Day Camp to be held on Monday, Aug. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Killam’s Point Conference Center.

This is an awesome experience for children ages 5 to 9, who will enjoy lots of hands-on activities, including touch tanks, woodland and Long Island Sound exploration, and nature crafts. A full day’s agenda, map, and list of what to bring will be mailed upon receipt of registration and payment of $45 (additional children, same family, $35) or $35 for BLT members. Scholarships are available.

This is the 26th annual Environmental Day Camp for Kids, which is held each year at the beautiful Killam’s Point Conference Center, 31 Killams Point Road in Branford. It is hosted by BLT, a local nonprofit organization accredited by the Land Trust Alliance, established in 1967 to protect Branford’s open space and natural resources. Run by volunteers and supported by member families and businesses, the BLT manages and protects over 1,000 acres in more than 130 parcels and holds conservation easements on another 400 acres in Branford.
