Haddam-Killingworth baseball defeated Coventry in the CIAC Class S Championship at Palmer Field to claim their first baseball state championship on June 9. Callen Powers struck out 10 batters and allowed only one earned run in the 3-2 victory. The Cougars ended the season 22-5.
