Key Club Kids Help Out at North Haven Garden Club’s Annual May Market
Press Release from Cindy Golia, North Haven Garden Club
For the fourth year in a row, several members of the Key Club—the youth version of the Kiwanis Club—helped out at the North Haven Garden Club’s annual May Market Fundraiser.
The kids were there bright and early at 7:30 a.m. to help with the set up and to assist vendors with their merchandise and finding their spot in the gym. When that was completed, the Key Club kids assisted many shoppers with their purchases, taking the purchases to their cars.
The kids stayed and helped with the cleanup by taking many leftover perennials and annuals to the cars of club members, in addition to folding chairs and taking down tables. Their help was invaluable to members of the North Haven Garden Club and to the shoppers.
Each member of the Key Club wore a lei for recognition at the May Market. The North Haven Garden Club thanks the Key Club kids for their help. The Key Club members who participated included Cooper Callahan, Alyssa Cherian, Roberto Demacedo, Tim Flanagan, Mackenzie Ly, Chandler Morris, Jaden Nguyen, Brina Shah, Ayla Sivri, Sonia Temfack, Danny Villabona, Shen Wan, and Paul Wilson-McCarthy.
