Classes for adults begin the week of June 26. Workshops are offered throughout the summer, and registration remains open throughout the semester. Class types include beading, blacksmithing, ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, metals, painting, printmaking, weaving, and other special interests.
The Summer Youth program is a nine-week program that runs from Monday, June 19 to Aug. 18. It features weekly half-day and full-day sessions for kids ages 5 to 12 years, plus classes for tweens and teens. Weekly programs are built around popular themes and craft techniques. Professional instructors are experienced in teaching children in a caring way, sharing their knowledge of painting, drawing, sewing, sculpture, pottery, cartooning, blacksmithing, metalworking, and more.
Financial aid is available; applications can be found at www.guilfordartcenter.org. Applications are due June 12 for youth and June 19 for adults.
