Sen. Cicarella and EHHS to Showcase Student Technology and Manufacturing Programs
Press release from Senate Republican Office
State Senator Paul Cicarella (R-34) is holding a news conference with East Haven High School (EHHS) and town leaders to highlight the school’s successful Career Technical Education (CTE) programs, including its manufacturing education program. The various student workforce development programs have served as a model and genesis for legislation introduced by Sen. Cicarella in the 2022 and 2023 legislative sessions—to provide all students with a path toward a successful career beyond a traditional four-year degree.
The news conference will take place at EHHS on Monday, April 24 at noon. A tour of the school’s manufacturing and technology departments will immediately follow, showcasing the equipment and skills that students learn in the programs.
In addition to Sen. Cicarella, also slated to speak at the news conference are East Haven Public Schools Superintendent Erica Forti, EHHS Principal Vincent DeNuzzo, and East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora, along with Michelle Benivegna, the Director of Economic Development for the Town of East Haven. EHHS officials and additional members of the East Haven legislative delegation are also invited to speak at this event.
