Health Department Receives Recognition From Governor

In recognition of National Public Health Workers Day, the Guilford Health Department was recognized by Governor Ned Lamont for the contributions and sacrifices made by public health workforces throughout the State of Connecticut. The governor extended appreciation to employees and volunteers of health districts and departments throughout the state that rose to the occasion during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the health and well-being of the community.

According to First Selectman Matthew Hoey, “Guilford is fortunate to have a team of dedicated employees in our Health Department that worked tirelessly during the COVID-19 pandemic to make sure our residents were well informed and had the tools necessary to protect themselves and their families.”
