Guilford Winter Fest Set for Feb. 21
The Guilford Park and Recreation Department’s annual Winter Fest event is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 21 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Community Center. The event will feature a DJ, airbrush tattoos, inflatables, Mary’s Culinary Cooking, an ice sculptor, a warming fire, and more. There will be food available for purchase, including soup, sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water. Wristbands are $10 and can be purchased online or on the day of.
Ellen Clow, Recreation Supervisor at the Park and Recreation, said the event is a favorite of patrons. This year’s event is expected to be special as events of this type are finally returning to some sense of normalcy post-COVID.
“All of us at Guilford Parks and Recreation are excited to once again hold Winter Wonderland,” Clow said. “It provides families with a fun, affordable option for something to do on a day off from school. All new this year, participants will be able to stuff a special friend (penguin or teddy bear) to take home.”
