NMCC Hosts Empowerment Workshops for Girls
The North Madison Congregational Church (NMCC) brings its popular Girls Empowerment Workshops back for a fourth year. The series, designed for middle schoolers, has been offered for the last three years.
Attendees will learn from professional women, such as life coaches and yoga teachers, and enjoy fun activities and conversations about hot topics while forming empowering friendships and learning more about themselves.
This free program was developed by a 12th grader as her high school senior project and is sponsored and supervised by NMCC Youth Minister Sue Timony-Hall.
At each session, girls will gather to learn from professional women and do a related fun activity or have conversations about hot topics like social media use and making dreams reality.
Participants may attend as many or as few sessions as they like on Sundays, Feb. 5, 12, 26, and March 5, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at NMCC, 1271 Durham Road, Madison.
