The Branford Community Foundation (BCF) is pleased to announce that the 2023 competitive grant application materials are now available on our website. Applications are due by March 10, 2023.
BCF seeks grants that enhance the quality of life in Branford. BCF has identified the following priorities in our grant making for 2023:
• Basic needs, including food insecurity, shelter, emergency financial assistance, childcare.
• Consider supporting organizations and populations that are disparately impacted and that BCF may not have previously supported.
• Mental health services, including prevention, intervention, and substance misuse.
• Programs that create joy in the Branford community.
• Child and youth development services.
• Strive for high impact in the Branford community.
Prior to beginning an application for 2023, please be sure to carefully review the grant guidelines on our website. To help navigate the process, BCF will hold a virtual (Zoom) Grant Application Workshop on Thursday, February 16 at 10 a.m. RSVP to Jennifer Mullett at jmullett@branfordcommunityfoundation.org.
BCF seeks grants that enhance the quality of life in Branford. Grant applications should address a need within the focus area and demonstrate impact on the organization, project, community, or persons served.
In 2022, BCF awarded 23 grants through its competitive grant making process. These grants mostly ranged from $1,000 to $10,000 with an average award being around $5,000.
BCF is proud to be able to address emerging needs that impact our community. Our ability to provide these grants, however, is only possible thanks to those who generously support the Branford Community Foundation’s mission to “connect people who care with the causes that matter to them.”
