The Community Foundation of Middlesex County's (CFMC) Board of Directors is celebrating the new year with a new Chair and three new members added to its 2023 leadership team. Deep River resident Clint Reid has been named Board Chair after serving as Treasurer in 2022 and as a member of several committees over the past three years. He

brings 30 years of experience in healthcare and a "Live Local, Give Local" approach to all CFMC efforts. Reid replaces John Boccalatte, who retired after serving his third and final three-year term as Board Chair. Greg Rainey of Ivoryton, and Frantz Williams of Wesleyan University, also retired from the Board after serving nine years and working on countless committees. All three individuals are applauded for their unwavering commitment to the local community by sharing their time and considerable talents. CFMC welcomes incoming Board members Pamela Steele, Maureen Westbrook, and Marc Levin to continue the great work of Boccalatte, Rainey, and Williams.

Steele, a Middletown resident, is the owner of Pamela Roose Specialty Knits and Yarns in Middletown and an active member of the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce. She is Chair of the Chamber's Central Business Bureau, Vice Chair of the City of Middletown's ARPA Committee, and serves on the Middletown Commission of the Arts.

Westbrook resides in Deep River and recently completed her tenure as President of Connecticut Water. She, too, is very active with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce and previously served as Board Chair, as well as on several committees. Her work with CFMC includes being a dedicated supporter of the Fund for Women & Girls.

Levin is President of Malloves Jewelers in Middletown, a family business he joined in 1982. He has served on numerous boards of directors, including the CFMC Board, and is a founding member of the CFMC Council of Business Partners, a group dedicated to helping area youth succeed and thrive.

The Community Foundation of Middlesex County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the only community foundation serving the fifteen towns of Middlesex County. It is entering its 26th year of building a better today and a brighter tomorrow for all, thanks to the vision, leadership, and partnership shared with donors and local nonprofits throughout Middlesex County. Annual CFMC grant awards help support vital community programs and services, including animal welfare, arts and culture, health and social services, history, education, the environment, economic security, civic improvements, and recreation.
