10/19/2022 09:51 AMThe Park & Recreation Department and the Senior Center will host the 49th annual Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. at the Guilford Community Center.
The fair will feature holiday and everyday decoration, a variety of crafts, sewn creations, handmade crafts, knitted items, baked goods, gently used jewelry, and books. Private vendors will also be on hand, offering specialty products. Baked cookies and cakes will be available for purchase, along with a popular 50/50 raffle and Chance Auction baskets. Breakfast and lunch will be available for sale.
Victoria Nadolski, Seniors Program Coordinator, said the event is important to the senior patrons and the staff for a number of reasons.
“This event is important for our seniors because it is a major fundraiser for our senior programs, trips, hot meals, and transportation. It’s a great community event for people of all ages to get a jump start on the holiday shopping. Our seniors work hard all year knitting and creating pieces for the annual craft fair,” Nadolski said.
According to Nadolski, there will be a large contingent of vendors and opportunities to find that special holiday gift for a loved one at this year’s fair.
“This is a very well-rounded event, because we also have a variety of private vendors, 50/50 raffle, and a fabulous Chance Auction featuring gift baskets and gift cards from local businesses. There will also be breakfast and lunch for sale along will a bake sale,” said Nadolski.
The 49th annual Holiday Craft Fair is free to attend, open to the public, and will be held at the Guilford Community Center, 32 Church Street, on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. For more information, visit guilfordparkrec.com or contact the Community Center, 203-453-8068.
