NORTH BRANFORD - North Branford’s shiny, brand-new “show mobile” mobile stage is now in town, and will have its premiere at the North Branford Potato and Corn (PoCo) Festival Aug. 4 to 7.

The mobile stage will take center stage as PoCo’s main stage for live entertainment including music, song, and dance. PoCo 2022 is set for Thursday, Aug. 4 to Sunday, Aug. 7 at Augur Field (see related story here).

The trailer-style show mobile can be hauled to different locations for various public events and programs. It was purchased earlier this year by the Town of North Branford with approximately $200,000 of federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.

The shiny white exterior resembles a typical box trailer but has built-in storage of the mobile stage and its components inside, including built-in lighting. The handicapped accessible stage includes stairs.

The 30-foot trailer, which is self-leveling, also raises one side to create a canopied roof over the stage area. Once opened, the stage surface is roughly 24 feet deep by 30 feet long.
