Remains of Body Found in Long Island Sound ID'ed as New York Man
The Clinton Police and the Clinton Fire Department recovered a male body in Long Island Sound on Saturday, June 24.
According to police, the body was recovered at 11:30 a.m. and was discovered by two boaters who contacted authorities. It appears the body was in the water for several days.
Police described the body as that of a light-skinned male of about 5' 7" to 5' 10" with a thin to medium build. There are no tattoos or visible external injuries. He is wearing a black and blue bathing suit and a black tank top.
Police identified the remains on Monday, June 26 with the assistance of the United States Coast Guard nd the Suffolk County, New York Police. The man was identified as Selvin, Vasquez-Enamorado, 24, of Huntington Station, New York. Vasquez-Enamorado went missing out of Suffolk County, New York on June 11. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death to be an acccidental drowning.
