Keeping it Clean

Linda Mancini and Nancy Doyle use grabber reachers to pick up litter on Sept. 21 near the bocce courts at East Haven Town Beach. Volunteers gathered at the town beach for International Coastal Cleanup Day, led by Clean Up East Haven’s George Smith. The effort, promoted by Save the Sound, encouraged volunteers in towns across the state to remove anything unnatural from beaches and surrounding areas.
