Cyclists cross the Singing Bridge in Westbrook during Yale-New Haven Hospital's Closer to Free Ride on Sept. 7 on the return leg of their 100-mile course from New Haven to Old Saybrook. The ride was part of the 14th annual Closer to Free Ride, consisting of over 2,000 riders and over 600 volunteers. All funds raised from the event support the lifesaving research and patient care at Smilow Cancer Hospital.
