Girardi Named Madison Exchange Club June Youth of the Month

Exchange Club of Madison’s Youth of the Month for the month of June is Brian Girardi. Girardi, son of Nancy and Michael Girardi, was awarded with the David Bell Scholarship Award for the June 2022 Youth of the Month. Brian completed a competitive application including an essay entitled “The Covid-19 Pandemic drastically changed every aspect of our lives, in every way imaginable. Reflecting on what you learned during this time about yourself, your community and the world, explain how your perspectives on success, empathy, prioritizing, social inequalities, and leadership have been reshaped.”

Brian is a high honors student, member of the National Honor Society, Daniel Hand High School (DHHS) class officer, peer advocate, one of two captains of DHHS fencing team, Class Marshall for the 2021 DHHS Graduation, and a chess instructor at Scranton Library for Polson Middle School Students. Brian was named as Valedictorian of the 2022 DHHS senior class. Other Awards include Shoreline Arts Alliance Creative Writing Award, Rochester Institute of Technology Computing Medal, USA Fencing All-Academic First Team, AP Scholar with Distinction, Middlesex County Mathematics League Award, World Language Excellence in Academic Achievement Award, Excellence in Literature and Writing Award, The CIAC Scholar-Leader Award, and All-State First Team for the DHHS Fencing Team 2022 State Champions.

Brian will continue his education at Rice University in Texas.
