05/06/2022 12:00 AMAmerican Idol winner Nick Fradiani made a surprise guest appearance to benefit East Shoreline Catholic Academy (ESCA) Auction Fundraiser and Gala “Hope and Faith Grows Here 2022” on April 7 at Anthony’s Ocean View.
The event was organized by Auction Committee Co-chairs Nicole Conti and Krista Depukat. Colin Sheehan served as emcee and auctioneer and D.J./singer Michael Nigretti performed. During the auction, Sheehan presented surprise guest Fradiani, American Idol winner XIV, to perform and promote the auction.
Both Fradiani and Sheehan are alumni of Saint Mary School (SMS), Branford, and reminisced about their days performing on the school stage before Fradiani performed at the auction gala.
Fradiani credited SMS as the place where he first learned how to sing, played music, and said how “his life was really molded there.”
