Nominations Sought for 10th Annual Beacon Awards
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart.” – Elizabeth Andrew
For the past nine years, Shore Publishing/Zip06.com has had the distinct privilege of turning a spotlight onto 135 remarkable members of the shoreline community who all share a common trait: heart. Their love for their communities is seemingly limitless as they offer up their time, talents, and sense of compassion to make our corner of the world a better place. Now, as we prepare to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Beacon Awards, we’re excited to celebrate the next 15 Beacon Award honorees.
Beacon Award winners are a unique group. They’re thoughtful and committed, and we’re incredibly fortunate to stand witness to their selfless acts. These extraordinary people have helped shape our shoreline, making our communities the wonderful places we know and love. And it’s our great pleasure to honor and celebrate these individuals each year at the Beacon Awards Gala.
We are extremely grateful to each past Beacon winner for making our communities incredible places to live, work, and play. And as we salute our past winners, our hats also go off to the numerous businesses that have sponsored our Beacon Awards. Without their support, the Beacon Awards would not be possible.
As we prepare for the 2022 awards season, we can’t wait to receive your nominations. As the eyes and ears of our community, you are vital in helping us identify the special people who continue to go above and beyond. Please visit www.beaconawardsct.com and click on “Nominate” at the top of the page to submit your candidates for the 10th annual Beacon Awards. What remarkable people impact your life? Who springs to mind at the mere mention of self-less volunteer? Go on. Brag a little! We love to read it!
Thank you to all of our past winners and nominees. We are so pleased to be able to celebrate you and all you have done and continue to do within our communities. The Beacon Awards are a success because of you.
