Branford Police Thank Det. Ryan Tobin, Retired, for 25 Years of Service
Branford Police Department (BPD) asks the community to join BPD in congratulating Detective Ryan Tobin upon his retirement, following 25 years of exceptional service to the town.
Tobin joined BPD in 1997 and achieved many recognitions during his career, including the 2002 Medal of Merit and Officer of the Year award, in part for his "lone apprehension of an armed bank robber," according to BPD, which posted news of Tobin's retirement at its Facebook page April 14.
Promoted to Detective in 2005, Tobin has been "...instrumental while in the Detective Bureau and was assigned to most of Branford's high profile cases," the BPD post noted, while also stating, "Det. Tobin throughout his career has been a thorough investigator, a compassionate and caring officer who took care of the public and took care of his fellow officers. Please join us in congratulating him on his retirement and thanking him for his service to the Town of Branford!"
