Police Incident Report
The East Haven Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.
Wednesday, Nov. 24
• A 26 year-old New Haven woman was arrested at 7:33 p.m. and charged with three counts of violation of a protective order. She was processed on a $5,000 bond.
Thursday, Nov. 25
• A 32 year-old man of Montoya Drive was arrested at 5:13 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct.
Friday, Nov. 26
No arrests were made.
Saturday, Nov. 27
• A 26 year-old man of Bellman Street was arrested at 5:35 p.m. and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, engaging police in pursuit, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, failure to obey a traffic control signal, and failure to have headlamps.
Sunday, Nov. 28
• A 42 year-old man of Birch Lane was arrested at 10:50 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree on a person age 60 or older or who is pregnant or handicapped. In the same incident a 28 year-old woman of the same residence was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct under the Domestic Violence Act.
• A 30 year-old man of Hellstrom Road was arrested at 6:40 p.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and breach of peace in the second degree.
Monday, Nov. 29
No arrests were made.
Tuesday, Nov. 30
• A 31 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 9 a.m. and charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree and illegal sexual contact with a person under the age of 13.
• A 33 year-old man of a Short Beach Road was arrested at 7:44 p.m. and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed on a $2,500 bond.
• A 21 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 7:53 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
Wednesday, Dec. 1
• A 31 year-old Waterbury man was arrested at 8:56 a.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree.
• A 30 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 10:30 a.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and violation of a protective order.
Thursday, Dec. 2
No arrests were made.
• A 34 year-old man of Franklin Street was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9:24 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under license or registration suspension, failure to carry a driver’s license, and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.
Friday, Dec. 3
No arrests were made.
Saturday, Dec. 4
• A 33 year-old man of Coe Avenue was arrested at 4 a.m. and charged with criminal trespass in the first degree, three counts of violation of a protective order, failure to appear in the first degree, and four counts of failure to appear in the second degree on the strength of a warrant.
• A 56 year-old man of Prospect Road was arrested at 11:51 a.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with failure to appear in the second degree.
• A 39 year-old North Haven man was arrested at 7:54 p.m. for breach of peace in the second degree and assault in the third degree.
Sunday, Dec. 5
• A 29 year-old woman of Main Street was arrested at 11:30 a.m. and charged with risk of injury to a minor. She was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.
• A 23 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 6 p.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with two counts of failure to appear in the second degree. He was processed on a combined $8,000 surety bond.
• A 36 year-old man of Kenneth Street was arrested at 7:27 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
Monday, Dec. 6
• A 23 year-old Meriden man was arrested at 2:26 p.m. and charged with disorderly conduct and assault in the second degree. He was processed on a $50,000 surety bond.
• A 38 year-old New Haven man was arrested at 8:05 p.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the first degree and breach of peace in the second degree. He was processed on a $20,000 surety bond.
Tuesday, Dec. 7
• A 29 year-old New Britain man was arrested at 1:56 a.m. and charged with criminal violation of a restraining order. He was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.
• A 40 year-old man of Foxon Road was arrested at 11:58 a.m. on the strength of a warrant charging him with three counts of failure to appear in the first degree. He was processed on a combined $150,000 bond amount.
• A 59 year-old man of Hemingway Avenue was arrested at 4:40 p.m. and charged with improper storage of a pistol or revolver in a motor vehicle. He was processed on a $10,000 surety bond.
• An 18 year-old West Haven woman was arrested at 8:07 p.m. and charged with breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree. She was processed on a $5,000 surety bond.
