11/10/2021 11:00 PMThe Old Saybrook Rotary Club, which also serves the Town of Westbrook, is for the second year in a row partnering with The Westbrook Foundation to donate Thanksgiving meals to town of Westbrook residents. Working with the Town of Westbrook Social Services Department to identify families and individuals who need assistance, the Rotary Club enlisted local restaurant Edd’s Place to cook traditional Thanksgiving meals from soup to nuts for distribution on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Thursday. This is the second year in a row that Tate and Liz, co-owners of Edd’s Place, have stepped-up to help Westbrook residents.
The funding for the project was made possible by a Grant from The Westbrook Foundation who over the years has supported numerous programs to benefit the Town of Westbrook. This project also is part of the Rotary Club’s mission to support the needs of the towns of Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook.
