Former BOE member for the East Haven Board of Education for 8 years. Served as vice chair of BOE and chair of the Finance Sub Committee as well.

What led you to seek this office?

My passion to give back to my community coupled with my desire to advocate for students led me to put forth my name to run for the Madison BOE. While on the East Haven BOE, I constantly fought for the best interest of every student both in and out of the classroom. I fostered many long lasting friendships, was known to always ask the tough questions, and continually supported parents and students interests.

What are your qualifications for this position?

I come to Madison with many many years of BOE experience and I am eager to continue to utilize my knowledge and my financial expertise in my new hometown.

What do you see as the top three issues or priorities for this position?

The top three issues I see as priorities (in no particular order) for a BOE position are ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability, full transparency when it comes to not only BOE policies and issues but also voting, and constantly assuring that we are all doing what is in the best interest of all the students both academically and socially.

How has the district handled the COVID-19 crisis so far, and what changes or adjustments, if any, would you like to see going forward?

I believe the Madison School District handled the COVID -19 crisis as well as can be expected. COVID navigation was difficult for most districts and towns, but most especially the residents. I would like to advocate for more aggressive programs put in place to help our families, youth, and citizens cope with the after effects of such a unique and unprecedented event.
