Faison, 45, of West Haven, was identified as a suspect and on July 30 located and taken into and remained in custody on a violation of probation warrant.

The killing, the first reported in Guilford in about 20 years, was discovered on July 22 when Guilford Police and Fire personnel responded to a welfare check on Hopkins, a resident at 61 Mohawk Trail.
