Branford COVID Vaccine Update
June 17, 2021: The Town of Branford is pleased to announce that over 69 percent of our residents have received their first dose of the COVID vaccine and over 63 percent have been fully vaccinated.
Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step to prevent getting sick with COVID-19 disease. Getting vaccinated now will help protect you and those around you who maybe at risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
Persons that are fully vaccinated can start doing many things that you couldn't because of the pandemic. It is important to remember that it takes time for your body to build immunity. A person is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 14 days after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine.
