06/17/2020 09:00 AMShortly after the coronavirus pandemic led to the closure of Connecticut schools in March, it looked as if the Branford High School Class of 2020 might not be able to have an in-person graduation, and the community wouldn’t be able to celebrate the students in the usual style.
Amidst that uncertainty, The Sound committed to publishing this special issue that gives the public a chance to share messages of congratulations with the Class of 2020.
With frequently changing state guidance on public gatherings and no chance of holding the school’s traditional ceremony in front of friends and family, Branford High School opted to hold a hybrid virtual/drive-through ceremony on June 14 and 15 (after press time) and will also hold an additional ceremony on Monday, Aug. 3 group commencement program.
Special thanks go to BHS Principal Lee Panagoulias and Administrative Assistant Jean Brookman for partnering with the The Sound for this commemorative issue.
