Branford Police Assure Public of Commitment to Serve with Honor, Integrity, Trust
A June 2, 2020 notice posted by the Branford Police Department on its Facebook page states department members are, "...hurt by what we saw in Minneapolis and the ongoing erosion of police-community relationships." The statement also recognizes the current civil unrest nationwide and reaffirms the department's commitment to serve the public with "honor, integrity and trust."
The full text of the message reads: " As the turmoil continues across our nation, Branford Police would like to assure our community that we too are hurt by what we saw in Minneapolis and the ongoing erosion of police-community relationships. We recognize that there is uncertainty in our community and many others across the country. We want to assure our community, that the Branford Police department is committed to serving the public with honor, integrity and trust. We pride ourselves by serving everyone impartially. We will continue to work diligently to earn the trust of all our community members. We will treat the public that we serve with dignity and respect and we will always hold ourselves accountable. We thank community members for their continued support. It is through this support that we are able to effectively serve all."
