04/30/2020 12:01 AMVNA Community Healthcare & Hospice (VNACHCH) was forced to suspend in-person health and wellness community programs as well as caregiver support groups and consultations as a result of COVID-19, but has pivoted to virtual support groups and electronic communications with its health and wellness clients.
The pandemic affected revenues as referrals for home healthcare visits decline and some patients with less emergent needs refuse visits to avoid exposure. As a result, the agency has launched a fundraising campaign reminding donors We Are Stronger With You and asking for support.
We Are Stronger With You: The Campaign for VNACHCH has a goal of $50,000 to help defray the costs of the COVID-19 outbreak. The agency is already one-third of the way toward its goal.
