Last Week for Westbrook POCD Online Survey
The online survey seeking input for the update of the Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) has been a huge success. As of this writing, it has received more than 140 responses. Originally planned to last only until March 29, it was left open until Thursday, April 30 to ensure the greatest possible participation. Now, with only one week left, the town is once again encouraging anyone who wants to take the survey to do so. It can be accessed from the town website at westbrookct.us. For those who want to access the survey directly, it can be accessed here.
In May, the Plan Update Committee will review input from the survey and then use that information to evaluate strategies to help guide the community in the future.
Westbrook residents are encouraged to participate in the survey to help ensure that the POCD reflects community goals.
“This plan is an important document, which will be used to guide future conservation and development activity over the next decade and beyond,” said Marilyn Ozols, chair of the Planning Commission.
