Guilford starts off the holiday season in style in Friday, Dec. 6 with the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony starting at 5:45 p.m. on the Guilford Green. The main event will feature musical and dance performances from local groups and plenty of opportunities for carol singing, capped by the tree lighting at 7 p.m.

As in past years, many other area groups will offer chances to get into the spirit, ranging from the Eagle Hose Co. #2 annual wreath sale, the Firelight Festival at the Henry Whitfield State Museum, the Friends of the Guilford Free Library book and bake sale, and more.
