The school bell rang for students at the Jared Eliot Middle School in Clinton on Aug. 28. Students were greeted by eighth-generation Eliots Becky Eliot-Keating and her brother Douglas Eliot. They portrayed Hannah and Jared Eliot, for whom the school is named. Eliot-Keating recently retired after 30 years of teaching at the school.
