North Branford Goes Back to School Aug. 28
Some new initiatives, new additions to staff and programs, and other updates will greet North Branford students as they go back to school for a full day on Wednesday, Aug. 28 (see related story).
School hours remain the same as last year. North Branford High School, home to the town’s grade 9 to 12 students, has a daily start time of 7:30 a.m. and dismissal at 1:57 p.m. North Branford Intermediate School students (grades 6 to 8) begin their day at 7:40 a.m. and are dismissed at 2:05 p.m. Totoket Valley Elementary School kids (grades 3 to 5) attend school from 8:20 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., and Jerome Harrison Elementary School students (K to 2) attend from 9 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
Bus stop locations and times are available to parents through the NBPS PowerSchool parent portal at powerschool.northbranfordschools.org. Login information is available at each school’s website. School bus transportation is provided by DATTCO. School bus transportation rules and regulations are posted at the district website www.northbranfordschools.org Food service information is also available at the schools’ website.
North Branford schools will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 2. The district will have one early dismissal day in September, on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
