North Haven Garden Club Learns About Birds
North Haven Garden Club held its February meeting on Valentine’s Day, and featured a talk on The Amazing Ability of Birds by Sally Brockett. Brockett began identifying birds in the early 1970s. As her list of life birds grew, so did her interest in finding some uncommon and rare birds. Brockett’s presentation illustrated the varied ability of birds and highlighted memory, creative building, and other facts.
Brockett also discussed birds’ ability to solve problems, reason, build nests, camouflage, and protect their young. Hostesses for the evening were Mary Cameron, Cindy Golia, and Lynda O’Donnell. The table arrangement was provided by Brenda Howlett.
