Branford Garden Club 2019 Community Awards Honor Four in February
At the February meeting of the Branford Garden Club (BGC), the BGC Award Committee honored four members for extraordinary gardens they have established in the community, by presenting each with a BGC 2019 Community Award.
Each gardener received a certificate of appreciation recognizing them for "...outstanding horticultural and landscaping achievements in the town of Branford, Connecticut."
Three members were recognized for garden designs at homes in town, including Anita Otten-Ramm, 8 Deer Path Road; Roberta Mendillo, 11 Seaview Avenue in Hotchkiss Grove; and Pat Sanders, 25 Island View in Pine Orchard.
The committee also recognized Janet Dahl with a Community Pride Award for the Ben Callahan Memorial garden on Tabor Drive.
