• Kathleen Brody received the Vanguard Leadership Award, presented by Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice. Brody is a graduate of East Haven High School, Yale University, and University of Arizona Law School. She also clerked for the Supreme Court of Arizona.
• East Haven Fire Chief Matt Marcarelli has been awarded the Commission on Professional Credentialing professional designation of Chief Fire Officer. According to the commission, Marcarelli becomes one of only 1,298 CFOs worldwide and among eight in the State of Connecticut. The designation recognizes individuals who demonstrate their excellence in experience, education, professional development, professional contributions, association membership, community involvement, and technical competence.
