2.5% Wage Increase Ok'd for North Branford Town Manager, Administrators
In November, North Branford's Town Council approved annual raises of 2.5 percent for North Branford's Town Manager and the town's administrative group (department heads). For health care, the council voted to hold the line on an eight percent health insurance premium cost share contribution for all. The wage increases are retroactive to July 1, 2018, the start of the Town's 2018-19 fiscal year. North Branford's current fiscal year ends June 30, 2019.
The council voted following executive session on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the regular Town Council meeting. With one vote, the council approved 2.5 percent wage increases for the administrative group and for the administrators to maintain their eight percent health insurance premium cost share. With another vote, the council approved the Town Manager's 2.5 percent wage increase with a maintained eight percent health insurance premium cost share.
Town Manager Michael Paulhus noted the town's administrative group has 16 administrators.
Paulhus was hired to oversee the daily management of the Town of North Branford in April 2013. With this 2.5 percent wage increase, his salary of $120,356 has been increased to $123,365.
The wage increases and premium percentage costs were incorporated as part of 2018-19 Town of North Branford annual budget approved by the Town Council.
