On Sunday, Dec. 2, the Madison Chamber of Commerce sponsors the Downtown Holiday Celebration. Visits with Santa Claus starting with Santa’s arrival on a horse-drawn sleigh at 2 p.m. Children are invited to visit with him until 4 p.m. on the porch of the Café Allegre, where cocoa and cookies will be served. Donations of non-perishable food items are always welcome for the Madison Food Pantry.
Hayrides, letters to Santa, firetruck displays Christmas caroling, shopping, and free cocoa are also on order for the day. Coordinated by the Madison Chamber of Commerce, the activities are sponsored by local businesses, a list of which can be viewed at madisonct.com.
